Rosie Flo’s coloring books are quite popular with little girls everywhere, and the newest addition to the Rosie Flo family takes coloring books to a whole new level! The Rosie Flo’s Fashion Show (By Roz Streeten, published by Chronicle Books) is not just a coloring activity, but provides hours of imaginative play for your daughters. It’s an easy-to-construct paper pop-up theater, complete with a runway, and punch-out models and even a punch-out paper mini camera on tripod in case your little fashion would like to pretend to capture her ‘runway show’ on film!
The set features 18 punch-out models, all with different clothing. This is where the coloring gets fun. Your daughter can color and design all the outfits, and afterward hold her own fashion show! My girls loved the coloring and designing the best, and once their models were all perfect and fashionable, they strutted their stuff down the runway. I had to laugh at my girls because they were taking turns pretending to be the announcer, and it was so cute!
Geared for ages 4 and up, the Rosie Flo’s Fashion Show is fun even for older girls with a love of fashion. It’s also easy to put together, and takes up little space since all the pieces can be put back in to the box it comes in, and placed on a shelf with games and playsets. The girls lost a bit of interest once they had colored all the models and played with it a few times, but I think younger girls would enjoy the pretend and imaginative play aspect a bit more.
